Given all of the talk of Red Bro's, I thought I'd email Welp's Hatchery to see if that's what they have. Nope, they don't.

My Message:
I have been looking for hatcheries that carry Hubbard's "Red Bro" broilers. Friends of mine have had very good success with these birds. Can you verify for me if this is the type of Red Broiler that you carry?

Here's the response that I got:
I do not think it’s the same birds. I believe that is a French breed with different characteristics. It is a completely different breed to my knowledge.

Even so, that doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with Welp's Red Broilers. I'd be interested to know what success anyone may have had.

At least they responded!

I think JM Hatchery just chose the term "Red Bro" as well for marketing. The actual bird is something-something differentiated growth line something-something. In other words a mowfull!

Great research, by the way. Thanks for doing it.
