Red cap quail question

Hi! I hatched some jumbos and the seller gave me some extras of different kinds. And so I hatched a little nice man with a red head, and seller told me its a red cap quail. I tried googling and searching byc but found little about them. Are they a seperate breed, or is this only a color variety of coturnix coturnix? Can I crossbreed them? I wanna bu some more eggs of these, is it something I should know about them (if they are a diff breed), in behavour or needs or anything?

Here he is. So it is a color variant? I have only had wild, white and honey before will he breed true then?

yep italian or gold male,not sure of ratios but you should get aleast 50 ?percent gold chicks if you breed to a wild hen.
