Hello all!

So this really isn't a breed question and definitely not a gender question as they are only 24 hours old 😬 BUT has anyone ever seen a red and yellow chipmunk chick? I've seen the usualy brown but this one sent me for a loop lol.

There is really no way of me knowing potential breed as it is a massive barnyard mix with endless possibilities from a local farm near me. I'm just curious as this is a first for me in quite a few years of raising chickens and hatching. If anyone has had a chick like this and have adult photos, please share! I'm intrigued 🥰

I've had some that have more dark yellow stripes than the red stripes like yours.
Mine are splash gold duckwing.

I raise leghorns and work on Project colors so I know exactly what mine is. Maybe later I'll look for a pic or take one but don't hold your breath. All I've had so far were females and as adults they look pretty much like a red pyle female.
It'll be interested to see how yours turns out.

Due to my areas no rooster bi-law I will only be keeping it until it's gender is known so I may not show it at maturity if it's male. Time will tell 🤷‍♀️
