I am just now getting into breeding chickens and am starting with Red Dorkings. In my 'shopping' I have come across something called 'Bantam Red Dorkings'. Has anyone heard of these?

In addition, I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on a good breeding program for my first flock. I am getting a trio from a guy who practices the 'rolling' breeding method. I am going to be breeding for egg production and meat chickens. Is there a breeding program that I can take advantage of to build my flock quickly?

The rolling breeding method usually works well.

The bantams are just a mini-version of the standard size. If you're going for meat/eggs, you will more likely want to stay with the standard.
I'm not really familiar with the "rolling" breeding, either, but then, I only have one red dorking roo so I'm not breeding him.
