Red eye and lethargic

Hi, I just found one of my chickens sitting inside the coop they roost in. She looks pretty sleepy/lethargic, has one red eye and I noticed a little stringy saliva when she opened her beak. Respiratory infection??? I have Tylan powder, Tylan 50 and VetRx. Any suggestions? I have a vet, but it's Saturday, I'd like to start some treatment asap. I brought her inside to separate her from the others.

Put some probiotics and electrolytes in her water I usually use save- a-chick found at feed stores.
Please Post a picture of her eye.
Has she eaten or drank any and if so how much?
I don’t know too much about chicken illnesses and maybe this info will help an expert give you more advice. Until then I’ll start researching to see if I can find anything out.

I just wanted to post and update. I ended up taking my sweet Margarita to a vet Christmas Eve morning. I thought she might have had a respiratory thing going on and some antibiotics would do the trick. They took her in back and put her on oxygen. She couldn't even stand and was barely awake. The Dr. came back and said she was pretty sure she had Reproductive Disease. She said that is very common in birds 3-4 years of age. She was not egg bounds, at least neither her or I could feel one. She said it was not respiratory because she heard no wheezing. She did have some stuff in her crop. The Dr.'s explanation is that her body was probably shutting down there for not allowing the chicken to process for as normal. I've owned chickens for about 3 years now and had not heard, or run into, reproductive disease. Just wanted to post in case this info helps someone.

Thank you for updating, and sorry about your little chicken.
That is interesting. I lost a chicken last year to a reproductive illness - salpingitis. I used to notice when she would be going through a very difficult time both her eyes would turn really red. They would return to normal colour each time she would bounce back. They were red in the lead up to her death.

There are several reproductive disorders and conditions that affect laying hens. Sadly, they are quite common.
Internal Laying, Egg Yolk Peritonitis, Ascites, cancer, tumors and Salpingitis are usually what is found.
When any of these conditions occur, crop problems can be a symptom - this is a result of inflammation/masses in the abdomen that restricts the digestive process. Essentially, the crop cannot empty.
As your hens get older, you may encounter more of these problems. Sometimes I've found that I can offer supportive care, treat the crop as needed and the hen will bounce back for a short period of time. Other times, the hen is suffering and she needs to be put down.
