I have noticed that my roos legs are really red. it seems like they have gotten worse in the last month. he is approximately 3 years old.

Is this a problem or just the way they look

What about when it's a hen? By all outward appearances, she's healthy, active, laying but she has these red lines that start by her toes and travel an inch up the back of her legs. No sign of scale.
Any ideas?
Thank in advance,
Ann

Is it cold where you are? My hens will get red feet between the toes and up the legs, similar to the photos above, when the temperatures are low. While this is normal, it's always a good idea to watch for signs of frostbite and make sure they aren't standing in one spot all day (such as on ice).

I'm in So California and although it CAN get cold where I am, it rarely freezes and if there IS any ice, it melts quite quickly. I would be hard pressed to think their feet have ever actually made contact with ice. Thank you for the question though, I appreciate your reply.

Nice to find this :) I was wondering what was up with my friend and my Roos. Nice to know the cause. It wasn't hurting them, but it was bizarre.
