I wouldn't do it. If you do plan on doing it I would take the older ones out and put them into another pen for a couple of days and then try it but you may still have a problem since the older birds have already made there territory. Make sure you watch them really close.

It depends a lot on the size of your pen. About 2 weeks ago I put 26 8 week old goldens in a 20x20 pen with 9 adult birds (both hens and roosters) and everything went fine. If you do it I'd keep a close constant eye on them for a while.

I am putting the 6 week olds in cages in the same pen as the adults, Hopefully in a few days I will let them out and see what happens.
I will let you know how it goes thanks for all the input.

you might want to put hoods on the adult birds just to make sure that they don't become aggressive towards the young birds. You could always remove the hoods after a couple of weeks, once everyone is used to each other

I put my baby chickensin with my Red Goldens all the time when the roosers are a little aggresive to the chicks, and the reds raise them like thier own, but that is just my experience! and i have 5 in a 10x4 cage with a4x4 housing.

The 6 week old chicks have been in rabbit cages in the pen for 5 days released out of cages Saturday.
Kept a close watch all day only problem 1 hen don't like them but has not picked them.Other hen and
rooster don't seem to care put fresh veggies for the to pick at will see what happens today.

She may not have picked on her yet but if she does and there is any blood they won't stop until it's to late.
Also if you had rabbit cages why didn't you put the older ones in there for awhile and then place them all back into th epen together?
