Red heat

i have 11 day old chicks (4) and my EE is pecking at the others. I heard a red heat bulb might help. i have 1 but its a 75 watt. will this be enough heat??

Red lights definitely help calm them. I use a 250 watt bulb though.

Sorry forgot to add that its an old reptile heat bulb for my lizard. Not a regular house bulb so i figured it would be hotter?

I start with a red 250w bulb then after a couple of weeks use a 100w red reptile bulb. Mine are in the house where it's 70 degrees.
