Red iris- multiple chickens

Chicken’s iris turned red, one hen very lethargic. I noticed a few others with reddened eyes as well. Small flock of 12 No noticeable discharge. We do not have a vet nearby. I

Looks like natural eye color to me. How old are they and what do they eat?

Nope definitely weren’t this color before. Here is one from awhile ago and a tried to get a better one of her now. Now the eyes are red ringed and hardly opening them. They eat layer pellet food, along with daily scratch. I gave them some lettuce and spinach the other day, along with some oatmeal with garlic and rosemary. It’s been very warm here in vermont over the past few days so lots of snow melting and muddy conditions in the run.

Hmm, anything red or orange in the diet? My chickens eyes got darker when I feed them the 'darker egg yolk' feeds.
