Red Jungle Fowl Question

Cackle hatchery says the Red Jungle Fowl will lay 250-300 eggs per year! Is that a misprint, or is it for real? And what size eggs do they lay? I see they are pretty small birds.

Depends what kind of birds you want. For cackle's chickens, I would guess that they can lay up to that amount under extended light conditions.

haha jungle fowls lay no more than 10 eggs in a clutch. and they are seasonal egg layers they don't lay year round
