Description consistent with cocci getting out of hand. Try rearing broods above ground and feeding with medicated chick starter. Have powder at ready for addition to water if health issues noted. I have battled same issue and it can be licked. Introduction to cocci needs to be slow so immunity can develop before death.

Get more aggressive with changing out water and keeping it clean. Do same with feed. Even swapping out bedding more frequently is an approach to use. I seldom have problem when ground is dry with free-range rearing but when ground very wet for extended periods then you can get into trouble.

yeah i agree,we been having a lot of rain here

If broader rearing, then get anal about biosecurity. That means cleaning everything very well before running a batch through and being careful to not bring in anything from outside or that has been in contact with other birds or even rodents.

Shortly, I will be rearing batches of games that can have trouble with coccidiodosis. They are not released into field unless ground dry. Then once out they stay out, no bringing them back into a crowded broader.

I use Manna Pro Medicated Chick Starter with high risk groups. It only used as a preventative. If outbreak still occurs, then switch over to the medicated water. You need to be on top of chicks to detect signs before they drop wings. I listen for a big increase on cheeping and interest water. Both typically occur before changes in stool.
