Red lump after taking a poo

    New to this so this could be nothing to worry about. Only had the hens 2 weeks now.

    One of the hens was taking a poo the other day and once the poo dropped out, a red lump popped out (then back in). Like she turned inside out for a second. I've only noticed this once.

    The poo's pretty healthy though. (although she does have some poopy feathers... but i've read on here just to wash her backside![​IMG]

    Any advice or reassurance appreciated!

    She is probably okay. If it was a poo particularly hard to pass she could have, as you describe, turned inside out a bit. If you haven't seen repeat incident since, probably no further action needed.....
