On my white chicken I have noticed red lumps on either side of her head where her ears are. Some days they look really tender, but to date no blood and I have not seen any evidence of the girls scrapping! She is approx 10 weeks old and behaves quite normally (in fact she's the greediest) - my other 10 week old chicks do not have these marks. Is she ok? I've attached a picture of her as my profile (I think)!

That is normal, they are just part of the red skin that grows on chicken faces that make up their wattles and comb all chickens have them, some more obvious than others, for a 10 week old she does have a lot of red coming through though! what breed is she? do you have any closer full body shots of her? the comb still looks small.

Thank you Spikenniper - I will take a full body picture of her tonight.

I've read some blogs and some suggest it could be a sinus infection in the ears and may need antibotics - Tylan 50! Have you every administered this?

No I have not administered this before - I was hoping I could give it to her orally? :(
