Our chickens have not been going into the coop at night and we found out that it was due to red mite, I went all over the coop with a blow torch and put copious amounts of diatomaceous earth over all surfaces plus on the birds but they still don't want to return to the coop at night, I even put them inside at night and they still left. Will they eventually go in at night or is there something else I can do?

Can you post a few pictures of the inside of the coop real quick?
How many birds total?

no pic's as we are away on holiday but we have two birds in a 3ft by 3ft wood coop with a double nest box on the side, they still lay in the coop, there is a small external run with an automatic opener to let them into the main enclosure, they still go into the small external run but not the coop so are safe at night.
