Red Polish Hen??

Dan's correct. to throw a little more info your way I will say should you use the bird to breed pay close attention to retaining the deep red color she has. In the bantam black tailed reds it was not uncommon for birds to molt out their second year as Buff Columbian rather than retain a deep rich red.

I am not intrested in breeding her.. she is truely one of a kind. I have Wellies and have a great little egg business.. breeding birds may be something I would like to do in my retirement

She reminds me of my 2 month old "Fonzie". We don't know what she is but she came out of a green egg. I can't wait to see how she grows up.

I actually have a handful of chickens that look like this. They are absolutely gorgeous, and they are the result of a partridge silky rooster and laying hens, probably one of the Rhode Island Reds. They are pretty enough that I'm growing them out, and may continue with the breeding of a handful, trying to fix the deep red (even deeper than RRs) as well as get a better crest and beard. They also have feathered legs, although just four toes.
