Red pool water?

Recently when I check on my geese in the morning the pool water is red. My immediate thought was blood but none have any injuries. What do you think could be causing the red water? Is it possible diet plays a role? I've seen their poo out on the dirt and i never see any red poo. This also happens randomly not every morning but about 2-4 times a week.
Also information about the geese 6 embden. 2 african all about 3-4 months old and one African about 3-4 years old

Just wild birds, squirrels, toads but toads are rare

Some molds are red and grow in water. They stink too. Could it be mold?
