Red river and barley

Has anybody have their flock some red river and barley?

Not sure what red river is but barley is the first ingrediant in our hens layer pellets.

My birds hate the barley. They won't eat it but I haven't tried soaking it or anything. Just mixed it up into their dry rations and they left it. they also leave the oats but I now soak those in a bucket with ACV and they gobble them up after a few days. Just hadn't tried the barley like that.
