I told my grandfather about the "egg hunt" and he told me that we needed to stop handling the egg so much cause they wont hatch if we touch them too much. He is in his 80's so he is just talking. I just laughed and said yea, you're right.

My chickens that are laying are mixed, but I have a friend that breeds Dominiques and I have hatched out chicks from them, could I bring a dozen of those for the hunt?

I am very excited about this event...I wanted to bring a couple of friends and her 3 year old since my DH can't cp,e if that is okay. Wanted to let you know of the possibly of 2 more adults and another child..Will bring grill/drinks extra covered dished food too.. is there anything else we need to bring? If my girls cooperate.. will be adding more eggs to the hunt.

Just there drinks and grill food. We will have a egg hunt for them with candy.

I've had it on my calendar but, I'm glad I found it on the forum! I hated missing all the fun last year. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a fresh dozen locally to bring. Unless anyone want quail, LOL! Those would be hard to find! Terry's off and I'll see if anyone else from West GA wants to ride with us.
