Red sex-link...possibly a killer :0(

If she's being isolated to kick her out of the pecking order, she doesn't get to free range. She's in chicken jail. No work release program for her.

Fred's Hens :

If she is the sole offender, or mainly the culprit, I'd integrate without her. I'd take her out for two weeks. Completely out and out of the daily contact. Then she would be the "new kid on the block" when you re-introduce her. Sometimes, when we integrate, we should think of disturbing the entire pecking order rather than just trying to get the littler pullets introduced at the bottom. In other words, take out the top leadership. That shakes thing up for everyone.

Of course, she is your best layer.

Not surprising.

I agree with Fred's Hens- I do it a little differently, though. I put my naughty hen or roo in a time out wire dog kennel for several days in front of everyone in the middle of the coop. They miss out on several days of free ranging and also had to sit by themself and watch all the others carry on without being able to bully them. As well as losing top notch on the roosting ladder... Their attitude was much more docile when they came out.

I have a very LG. dog cage in there now but it has my 3 months old chicks in there so I cant do that quite yet but after I do try chicken jail, if it doesnt work, I will try what you suggested. Thank you!
