red sex link?

I have a mixed flock of 7 chickens, with one confirmed cockerel. I can only have 1 rooster so I am hoping I am wrong.... Glinda is about 11 - 12 weeks. Was sold to me by Tractor Supply as buff Orpington but she clearly isn't. A lot of people here said she is probably a red sex link or a mutt. I dont care what she is as far as breeds go but the past couple days her tail feathers are looking slightly sickle to me? This is my first flock so I have been learning everything from BYC! I hope she isnt a cockerel .. she is so sweet and the friendliest of the bunch. So hopefully you guys tell me she is a red sex link and I'm nuts and to stop staring at my chickens all day taking photos!!!! lol Thanks everyone you are all so helpful!

I think red sex link cockerels are lighter in color, but with multiple colors compared to the red of the pullets. I'm pretty certain you have a pullet.

I hope so .. I think I'm just making myself crazy but I worry what if she isnt a true red sex link and some other kind of mixed breed. The other chick I got with her, who was also labeled as buff orpington pullet is a true orpington.

You wouldnt get a "mixed" breed from tsc. Hybrids are not considered a mixed breed because they've perfected the combination enough it's a breed of it's own. Hope that makes sense.

Red Sex Link pullet Even if by some chance she wasn't a Red Sex Link, she'd still be a pullet due to her small comb and wattles!

several of my young pullets had weird curled tail feathers and drove me mad with anxiety that they were secret cockerels. Eventually those curly feathers molted out.

Agreed, red sex link pullet... the males look different... their mix of genetics makes it so.
