"Pullets" from TSC. I've been calling them sex links. Is this correct? I have 8 and they will be 18 weeks old on Wednesday. No eggs yet.. but any day now right?

Yep, red sex link pullets. Males would be white with a few patches of red on the wing area.

Honestly, they don't look that close to laying from the pics. Their combs are still small and pale. Combs usually get larger, plumper and redder a few weeks before they start laying, so you may still have a wait on your hands. But, once they hit their stride, they should lay nice big brown eggs like champs!

Well.. at least I've been calling them the right breed!
I have 23 chickens and an incubator full, but these 8 are my closest to laying age.. and I am sooo anxious for backyard eggs! Come on girls!
