red sexlinks for meat

We can only have a certain amount of chickens and have too many red sex links. they are 6 weeks and still fairly small. are these going to be worth the effort to grow large enough for a good meal or should we give them to someone who can use some layers? Thanks for your help

I myself I have never eaten a layer, but I think it would be better to give them to someone that wants them as layers and get yourself a few broilers. They only take 7-8 weeks to grow large enough to eat.
