Red sexlinks

Hello,
I have my silver laced Wyandotte hens covered by a Rhode Island Red rooster. I was under the impression they would be sex linked and the males would be straight colour and the females buff am I correct in the images that darker one are females and the males are the lighter but not straight color like i was expecting

The males are the light ones and the females are the dark ones. A wyandotte mix won't give chicks with straight color.

Would they look like exactly how Red Sex Link would look like when adults? Or slightly similar?

My chicks looked just like yours, Chad1993.

FuzzyCritters, wish I had known when I raised mine last year. I couldn't tell which were which until they started crowing.

BleuSaphir: Mine are all grown up now. Here is what they look like.

The mom is a Silver Laced Wyandotte, the dad is a Rhode Island Red. The white ones are the roos, the brown ones are the hens. (Two of the brown ones here are also roos - I mixed a Golden Laced Wyandotte with the Rhode Island Red roo as well and got them.)

This is Siren, a SLW + RIR.

(The darker red on this side of the white roo is a GLW + RIR. The others are the SLW + RIR. As you can see, they don't all look the same. Avi is closest to the camera, and she turned out almost gold!)

Here is what two of the roos look like. (First one is Jules Verne, the second is LeeLee.)

Banshee (a SLW + RIR) and Baelfire (a GLW + RIR roo).

They turn out fantastic! They have the look of RIR, New Hampshire, and a bit of Wyandotte.
