My Buff Orpington Roo (Brooster) i have noticed has red on the back side of his shanks. its has been getting cold in the coop at night down to 17

Is it frostbite? i think it is on the backside from when he roosts. his front part of has shank is coverd by feathers, and his back of his shanks are exposed. Any ideas?

The back side of a buff orp roo's legs s/b red. It is a sign of maturity. I think he'll be just fine.
