Red Shouldered Yokohama and Silver Spangled Spitzhauben together?

Oh I read the article, so they have gold as well. I am guessing it is the white which dilutes the gold rather than Dilute because wouldn't Dilute dilute the red as well?
I was puzzled about that as well.

I wish I had the ability to get some and do a bunch of test-matings to learn what is actually going on with them genetically!

Wait a minute, are cream light brown for example dilute gold duckwing? And the red parts tend to remain the same while the rest is diluted. So I suppose I believe that.
But how does Dilute work on Mahogany in buff then? Perhaps Columbian enables it?

It seems to me that the mentioned RSY exists in addition to homozygous splash in the offspring so I guess the offspring of this cross might be blue spangled.

Unfortunately I don't know either :(

hmmm
I changed my mind though.
I think the red is diluted to an orange color.
So either Brian Reeder is off his rocker or it's a different dilution gene.

I believe that Red Shouldered Yokohamas may actually be just splash with special selection for less black spotting which is why the white is showing up at the base of the tails of the black offspring.

I have heard that the white in Yokohamas might not be dominant white and might actually be ✨ something else ✨ but I'm going to just say it is dominant white for the time being.
The offspring would basically be a messy red shoulder coloration.
So they tend to throw some type of blue, the yokos do. But it's speculated that it's a different dilution gene as the blue they throw is granulated. Not sure that's the word for it but it's different from the normal kind.

There is a chicken color genetics group on Facebook that had a yoko cross that came out this blueish color and someone else has had it pop up consistently.
