Red silkies

I have a few red ones. Their color is a lot more deep and intense than just buff. Buff is almost like a pale yellow.

I'd like a find a nice red hen to breed to my partridge red roo.

His dad was a nice clear red silkie and the mom was a partridge/black.

Those look buff, not red. Red is much darker.

Buff is not pale yellow. It is defined as "an intermediate shade of orange yellow with a rich golden cast, not so intense as to show a reddish tinge, nor so blanched as to resemble lemon or light yellow." [page 248 of the Bantam Standard, 2005 edition, "A Glossary for Bantam Chickens."]
