So I did a "fertility test" on two eggs the other day. I put one duck egg and one chicken egg inside my new incubator just to test the waters. I was planning on waiting till Friday for growth but last night my incubator got up to 105 degrees and I was afraid I had cooked the poor guys. So I candled my chicken egg and I didn't see anything particularly odd. But when I candled my duck egg it looked a little funny so I panicked. I cracked it open just to see whats going on and when I examined the yolk there was this weird red spot on it. I honestly have no clue what it was, but I'll post a picture. I wanted to know if this is a normal thing for an egg? Was it the developing chick? Or just a random speck? I really am hoping the eggs are fertile so any information would be helpful. Thank you :3
