Red star and golden comets??

Could anyone tell me what makes red stars and golden comets different? I know they are sex link but what breeds make them.

Great question...and in addition to the above; are all sex link (depending on color) usually from the same 2 types of chickens? For example--my red sex link are white rock X RIR, are all red sex link from this mix?

I have some Comets which I ordered from Mt Healthy hatchery and they were a cross of New Hamshire hens and Leghorn rooster. Pullets are red with some white in the background, roosters are white. Mine started laying at 4 1/2 months old and they are very good layers. I sold some to others and they all have been very pleased with them.
