so I got 8 chickens today and I got 4 from the "red pullet" bin. I was thinking RIR's at first but now maybe they are red stars? any input?

the one has white stripes instead of the darker stripes?

also questions about the white one : they are leghorns but one up top is whiter than one on bottom right corner?

Your reddish chicks look ALOT like the golden comets my sister in law just got. Last year I got 2 Leghorns from the hatchery, one was white as a chick the other yellowish. By the time they were ready to lay, I couldn't even tell them apart :)

Thanks :) I believe commets, red stars and sex links are all the same thing. I wasn't sure if the different colors of the LH was Bc one was a roo or not :)

Red SLs. They are sold by hatcheries under more flashy and PC names such as Cinnamon Queens, Red Stars, Gold Comets, etc. However, they are all hybrids using the same crossing genetics.
