I am by no means computer savvy... think I'm the only female my age that doesen't keep a cell phone, LOL... But I think I know what you are talking about Red....

When you bring up Word on yur computer... and it gives you that message... what other options are there in Teeeeeny Tinnnny text you wouldn't think are clickable?

Because when I use Word on my PC (rarely) it gives me some message about registering... but then theres a tiny sentence that I can click on, I think it says "Skip" or something akin to that... and it bypasses the registration. I think it lets you use it about a dozen times without registering the program

At least that way you can get the info saved onto your computer.

All else fails... pick someone you trust a lot who is also computer savvy and give them your registration info so they can do it for you

I think that you should be able to use notepad. Notepad comes on any windows base computer. A lot of computers also will come with a free version of Microsoft Works. It is a word processing program also. It will have a lot more features than notepad.

Oh yeah JustBugged.. think you're right.

My computer came with this really cool "Stickynotes" program. Look just like little post-it notes, they start really small or I can drag them big.. the colors all change too

So my screen is always cluttered with a bunch of colorful notes where I paste interesting stuff I find...

Okay, my new computer has the sticky notes, I will try that out. It also "has" the basic version of word. Which worked for oh three months, last month I could not locate it. If I manage to bring it up, with the really pretty ad telling me to buy the complete Microsoft Office, it will not open..... I will see if I have a Word Pad too.
