I hate living in Massachusetts. Wildly cold winters and wildly hot summers. It's 90 degrees today and borderline rainy. I had to harvest vegetables from my garden today and that took like an hour. Almost died

Day 12, I'll be candling the questionable ones either tonight or tomorrow. I said tomorrow initially, but I'm not sure I'll be able to wait another 12 hours, lol.

Today's weather: 89 degrees and sunny, 78% humidity and I need to build a run. Yes, I'm stalling, it's friggin hot out there, lol.

yeah I’m with you, stall away! I was just whining about the heat today and realized it was only 87 and 64% humidity today. I was convinced it was higher maybe if we comment enough you’ll have to just stay in and reply instead.

10x25ft, their current run is 9x18. We're sectioning off the back part of the yard which is roughly 30ft x 50ft just for the chickens.

The run isn't really the issue. The area we're putting it had a concrete foundation, which were busting up so the chickens have more area to scratch around.

My son and I are taking turns so neither of us die from heat stroke.

The first one gave me hope that the rest would be good and I just missed the veining on the first pass, but I still have 24 plus the 5 under my broody, so I'm good.

So when you have eggs that have begun developing but quit, do you ever crack them open and examine the contents? Are you at all curious to see what happened or what stage the baby was at?
