Diamonds Eggs are a girl's best friend.

She hasn't even finished raising the last batch. I might have to invest in roll away nest boxes.

ETA: It's not like I'm setting the best example for her either . . . batch after batch . . . after batch . . .

Okay so my theory is that you need to start using two incubators at a time instead of one so that she realizes she can’t compete with you and gives up. Something that can hold a lot of eggs just to be safe

But I like the way you think:woot
Well think about it… what if your incubator randomly dies halfway through a hatch? Obviously the solution to that is having a backup incubator. And what if you one day want to hatch quail or something but you already have eggs in the other? Another incubator is the only solution. And what if something happens and you have one too many eggs? You guessed it, another incubator is the only solution. You see, it is a very important investment to save yourself so much stress.

There's a reason the one I have isn't cleaned yet (I washed it a bit, but it still needs sanitizing) If it's clean that means it's ready for use, lol.

I know for a fact that when I am done with all the school stuff I have left (why can’t I just let myself go to college for 4 years 😭) and can afford a decent sized property that I am going to be completely overrun with animals because chickies are cute

On a more serious note though . . . that henhouse (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DRJCDQDN?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_8&th=1) would make a great outdoor brooder.

I just need to remove the solid doors and add hardware cloth (screen doors) for better ventilation. I could run an extension cord from my bedroom window for a brooder plate or two and I'd be back in business.

When the girls were only laying eggs in it I just left both doors and Daisy, my dog, never bothered them.

A friend and I are looking to buy a plot of land we can both use for all our animals. He currently has a bunch of waterfowl, goats and a few chickens, but he can't keep roosters.
