That's a big girl. I have 1 BO that's 5 months and she's currently the biggest of the flock. I have 4 other BO's in the batch of 8 week olds. This was my favorite girl next to my buff Orpington who is 7ish poundsView attachment 4212854
She was well over 2 feet. She didn’t fit the SOP but still was massive. My other one that is still alive is a bit shorter but fits the SOP pretty well so she is a lot beefierThis was my favorite girl next to my buff Orpington who is 7ish poundsView attachment 4212854
I'm guessing they don't fly much . . . .my Orpington sort of thuds to the ground, lol. When she's on the steps behind me I think it's my 35 lb dog, lolShe was well over 2 feet. Yeah both of mine ended up huge. They also seem to have more going up in their head than some of my others. After the one in the picture died my other one basically fell into what feels like the chicken version of depression. Those two were inseparable. They did everything together. It’s literally been 3 months and she isnt better. She is healthy but she just isn’t the same. I feel so bad for her. That's a big girl. My taller girl was the best flier of all my chickensI'm guessing they don't fly much . . . .my Orpington sort of thuds to the ground, lol. When she's on the steps behind me I think it's my 35 lb dog, lol
As far as peasants, I once saw on a show that there are some English land owners who pay someone to live in a hovel on their estate and "dress the part" of a hermit to entertain their guests who visit. Different culture I guess. And you have to make room for peacocks, turkeys, quail, peasants, ducks, and geese
Umm my fences are only 6 feet high. I'm in trouble, lol.My taller girl was the best flier of all my chickens
She one time ran out of the coop after laying an egg, jumped off the side of the hill, flew 50ish feet out and at the highest was probably 10 feet in the air just to get to the other chickens. My more normal looking jersey is not anywhere as good as she was at it but she still is able to fly better than you would expect for her size
I did not catch that misspelling. . .lmaoAs far as peasants, I once saw on a show that there are some English land owners who pay someone to live in a hovel on their estate and "dress the part" of a hermit to entertain their guests who visit. Different culture I guess.![]()
