Redinator's First Hatch-Along

Pics
I'm a little concerned about Reese . . . it pipped about noon today and I haven't seen any activity since. I'm thinking I should check for activity and possibly put a tiny touch of olive oil around the pip in case the lower humidity earlier caused the chick to get stuck. Thoughts?

I did a quick check on Reese and hear peeping and tapping, so I think it's good. I also did a quick candling of an Ayam egg compared to one of Pot's (since they're roughly the same size), they seem to be a bit behind due to being chilled, but the one I checked was still moving inside. :wee :fl:jumpy I also found one of Pot's eggs has pipped #9, Dutch.

Let's go Dutch! (Haha)

She's so pretty. Happy birthday to us. 💝 What a wonderful job you did baby Cookie.

Not much more activity since the last post. I gave Oreo and Cookie a bit of water by eye dropper, but I'll have to move them to the brooder in the morning so I can keep an eye and make sure they eat and drink. 😴

19 more to go 😁

All 3 that piped earlier today hatched, now I can sleep.

Pot's two that piped this evening, Moon Unit and Dutch, might hatch overnight.:fl

It might just be me, but I just realized they're the cutest chicks in the world . . . it could just be because they're from my own chickens, but I don't think so.
