It is covered with the wire used to reinforce concrete... so it doesn’t bend under snow load, and is just there to keep out raptors. Big holes.
Ground is dirt.
In the duck coop part I prefer wood shavings.
Duck run area is weeds... they did kill all of the grass, but that fake chamomile weed manages to hold on, and a few other weeds.
