reds eggs

I have a Red, that has been laying brown eggs. But For the last month her eggs are white and not has hard shelled. I started giving them vitamins in thier water, but nothing has changed. Is this normal?

I would make sure she has access to oyster shell, to help harden up the egg shells.

From what I have read the eggs are darker in the spring when they start to lay and will lighten up as the laying season goes on. If they free range make sure they get some oyster shell for calcium. That will help with the shell thickness.
