New information:
My daughter seems to recall that the chickens appetite slowed a bit when we switched from crumbles to pellet food.
Is it possible that this reduction in appetite is merely a reduction in waste? In other words more of the food is going into the chicken and not getting scattered about? If so it is a pretty dramatic difference.
