Redwood Incubators - Information, help, for sale and wanted

Hi, I am looking for a large incubator. I have 2 styrofoam Little Giants, one new no brand name that barely works, and a Brower. The Brower lid is too heavy, I keep dropping it on the eggs. The new no brand name was a double decker and didn't work worth spit. It holds 96 egg and hatched 21, staggered because I moved the eggs from the bottom to the top but what I found out is that the thermostat, which was factory set, was wrong. Cooking the eggs on top and slow cooking the ones on the bottom. I filled it twice before I figured it out.

I am kind of looking for a GQF cabinet or something that big. We don't know anything about how to fix them, so it needs to be in fair condition. I can't afford too much and seller needs to be able to accept Paypal. We are in Ozark, Missouri and willing to drive up to 5 hours away to pick it up.

Hi
If you are referring to my Petersime, everything was automatic on it. I sold it two days after I went on forum here to try to find out what to do with it. 750.00. It was in pristine condition, held 600 or 700 eggs, if I remember correctly. The feller who bought it was super pleased with the price and the redwood beauty. I do Believe I could have gotten more, but with pending health issues, I was forced to sell. I did get a little Joelle to replace it.....for the kids. It holds only 50 eggs, but its all automatic and fun, fun, fun! Just hatched 35 buff brahmas and buff orpingtons.

Hello I am looking to sell a redwood incubator and I had a couple of questions to ask. I am wondering how much an incubator such as this usually goes for? Also how would I go about testing it out to make sure it works? I don't want to mess anything up like not adding water or something and breaking it. I haven't got the first clue how it works. Thank you for your help.

Post a photo or tell us the manufacturer. We'd be glad to help you. Some of us might even buy it from you.

Old thread but im gonna bump it.

Whats with the double wafer stats? Are they staging heating elements or running them in series on the same element or what?

Double wafers uses one as a high temp limiter, one shuts off the element at a preset temp. Normally 102. I set mine to 101.

The other wafer is for the low temp.
