Redwood Incubators - Information, help, for sale and wanted

Pics
Here are some photos of my Farm Master (I don't have it any more):

View of the front showing window.
Inside of door with wet and dry thermometers.

Fan and heating element.
hack thermostat on door
two water pans act as baffles. Small one only filled during incubation, both for hatching.
Not a great photo of the top, sorry. It overhung the edges by about 3/4", and the rear half was screwed to the cabinet. The front was hinged for access to the water trays.
And all the controls in their original glory.

Okay, exact same thermostat, components of it are in slightly different locations, but same any way, and my box had the indicator light replaced, the fan and mount is the same, frame is the same, vents are the same, I would say that if I copied the idea of the lid, with a fixed rear half, and hinged front half.
My next question is, if you can recall, was there any kind of a vertical baffle, between the rear of the cabinet, and the egg trays? Say, below the fan? I was envisioning something similar to a peg board, allowing airflow, but restricting it. Thoughts on advantages, disadvantages, necessity, lack thereof?

Nope. The fan was mounted in the solid board to push air into the back "duct" but it stopped just below the water pans. The egg trays had cutouts to allow good airflow from the back into all the trays. The instructions said to always operate with all trays in place, even if empty...I believe that is what kept the airflow even as it offered some restriction. When the egg trays are pushed back they provide the same sort of action the pegboard would.

The gap between the front of the trays and the door surprised me. It was a big distance!

I have a copy of the manual and would be glad to send to you. Just PM your email as I can't attach it here.

I shall do that. Thank you. It all makes total sense now. Thank you. PM to follow. Happy Easter! Or, Passover!

Here is what I am dealing with on the doors. Sad, how we sometimes ruin something of beauty, by "fixing" it. This came out very functional. But, I can certainly see why they put several very thick coats of paint on it.

That is shameful abuse of a beautiful piece of functional furniture. I am so glad that you are undertaking the proper resto-mod.

I hope to find an old kerosene redwood incubator to resto-mod. Most of those have already had the copper water tube stripped out, as well as having lost the kerosene burners and chimneys and heat controls. Those would be ideal candidates for my next resto-mod project.

Found this on CL couple years ago. Bought it for $100, all copper in place with burner and damper. They kept calling it a "brooder" for after the momma chicken hatches the eggs, you put the chicks in it to keep them warm, somehow.... :)

That's beautiful. I'd love to find something like that, or even one of the taller legged ones. I've only found very small ones (65 egg), very large ones (>300 egg), or very, very rough ones with a lot of rotten wood. I'd also be happy finding a dedicated hatcher...I have built an incubator/hatcher and I'd like to dedicate one box for each task.

It has the tall legs with it, those are legs that the people put on who used it as their coffee table. I think its a cool piece of furniture too.
