The temperature holds great. I will definitely let you know the outcome of the hatch, they are due this Wednesday.

Ok I wanted to show you the inside. Also noted I thought there was 5 trays but there are 6 trays. It doen't seem to have a hatching tray, but there was a wire over the separated tray (water?). Would that be put on the top of the water tray and put the eggs on top of that for the 3 day lock down with more humidity?? I need to really read your manual through.
I just feel like a 5 year old on Christmas morning because the components look so clean inside. The element looks perfect. Everything seems to be working. DH unplugged it, it's kind of cold out today and winds. I'm working on my sewing room to make room for it. Then I will keep it plugged in and see if it holds the temperature. The fan only made the noise of moving air. The gentleman I got it from said it worked perfect 10+ years ago. Usually when I purchase something it always runs perfect for them and I get it home and am

not so lucky.

Looks like someone replaced the original wafer switches at some point in time..

Hi,im also restoring two farm master redwoods. One is a 400 egg model and the other is a 8 tray,1200 egg model. Both work but need some rebuilding. Some previous owner covered the larger redwood with fiber wood and my guess would be to keep in the heat and humidity. What this did was protect the redwood and its in very nice original condition.
I have a question concerning a switch thats inside this incubator...What does it do??

I have a Leahy type (name plate missing) redwood incubator for sale. Columbia Gorge area, asking $150. Rewired and everything works, heater, fan and thermostat. I have three drawers, one set up for hatching (high ends) one set up with home fabricated 'tilter'. Can send photos.

The restoration of the farm master is going fairly well.I have the cabinet gutted and all the doors off .Im going to need to replace the heater element with a new one but the fan looks to be in good shape.Im looking at the hatching trays and they seem very dry.Would there be something i could put on the wood thats safe for hatching eggs? I was thinking linseed oil??
