Ok, so I'm going to post something, I'm not proud of, but if it can help others learn from my mistake...
Roosevelt over indulged in something while out free ranging for 30 minutes.
I notice that her crop was extremely huge, like abnormaly huge. I thought, I must get out whatever is in her crop. Well, I made the decision to vomit her. After, they started coming out, I was literally having to pull them out, one right after another. She started turning purple, and I knew there was no turning back. I was bawling my eyes out cause I'm thinking, I'm going to kill my baby girl...
They were so big and long that they were blocking her airway. After what seemed forever I managed to unblock her airway, and she started breathing normal, her color came back, and to this day she is doing well.
Had I'd known what was in there, I would have never attempted to vomit her. It was a very hard lessened learned.

I want to thank you for being so candid and posting what you did. I am so happy that your hen lived. hopefully everyone that reads this will learn that the risks when trying to vomit a chicken can be life threatening.

Yes, 15 of them to be exact.. They were bigger than some of the night crawlers that people use when fishing.

Do you plan on deworming your flock anytime soon?
Not for earthworms but for the worms that they can get by eating earthworms.

Well... I can, but my girls have ate earthworms since they were born and have not had any problems. I do take several stool samples to my vet to check about 3-4 times a year. I know that they can still have worms, even with a negative sample. And gape worms are caused from eating earthworms. If they were to have any problems, I would not hesitate to spend $$ and take them to a vet.
