When I am refilling my chicks food, do I need to dump out the old feed, even if its not 'messy'. Or can I just top it off. Obviously if I saw signs of a lot of poop, I'd clean it out but the last few times have been clean. Wondering if its wastefull to dump the food out everytime and replace with fresh? Or is that the way to go?
Thanks!!!

If they stop pooping on it then it's fine for reuse. As they get older they stop climbing on it, you can also start raising it as they age so they can't climb on it.

Thank You!!! I figured this but sometimes when you are new you need a second opinion to validate your own! LOL

I rotate mine. Meaning, I dump what's in the tray into a coffee can, add fresh to the tray then put the old on top. Otherwise you wind up with a tray full of powder that they won't eat.
