Refinishing a clawfoot tub

Al, is the LPHO sprayer that you use at all similar to those used for painting cars? We have a friend who paints autos all the time and has all of that equipment. Just wondering. We can take the tub anywhere it needs to go for painting. Also, you said that as a pro you have access to higher quality chemicals and paints...is there a way a lay-person can buy these too, if someone (you) told me where they can be bought?
