Hey all! New chickie mama here👋

I am wanting to give my chicks (about 2 wks old) some electrolyte water in addition to a regular waterer in their brooder. I have 6 chicks. The Save-a-Chick powder comes in packets measured out for a gallon of water but that is way more than I need at a time. Can I mix and save in the fridge for use within like, a week or so?

Thanks!

I do not believe so.

What we did was open a packet on a dinner plate, then took a spoon and divided the pile into four piles. Now we have four piles, each makes a quart. We used a piece of paper to help sweep up each pile and put each portion into a separate sandwich-size zip-lock bag.
