reguarding predators,...What chicken breeds put up the most fight?

Quote:
I never thought about that,...
But having a few Guineas just might be a good idea !
I like it !, anybody have any other suggestions?

He has plenty of room to throw up an extra coop or pen if necessary.
Thanks for all the replies so far,
Ron

I'm not positive here, but I think the point of having the Guineas, is that they will cause a ruckus with alot of noise, if there was a predator in the vicinity.
that whould cause the predator to maybe pause for a moment, as well as give you an alert, that a predator is on the prowl.
Then it's left up to the 12 ga.

It's really hard to pick up a full grown guinea. They have strong wings and legs. Between the noise and the way they defend it might give you the time you need if they are close enough to the house for you to hear the ruckus. Eventually they will get eaten if you don't protect them.

I've never seen a guinea 'fight'. Mine used to eat out of the same bowl as the cats and if one got in the way they might peck at it but not really try to hurt it. The best 'predator control' use of a guinea is to sound an alarm, and boy can they do that! They're not exactly terrifying in these pictures:
