Regular treatment or only when necessary

Just curious if people treat regular for things like worms or coccidiosis or only when symptoms appear? I don't want to treat my birds just to treat them but also don't want to wait until I have a big problem.

Treat when there's an issue. You cannot preemptively treat for either of those things.

Some people I hear worm their chickens every 6 months, just assuming they have worms, I guess.

I've raised silkies for nearly 9 years now and have never wormed them. I don't believe in treating them for something they may not have. If one gave me signs they may have worms, I'd worm them all at that point.
