Rehabbing my old coop - should I lower or relocate the roost? I’m concerned about drafts in the winter.

I suppose I could leave it where it is and then just cover the vent on that side in the winter. There is a vent on the other side as well as the door out to the run which I leave open (the run is secured). I live in Minnesota.

I'd close those for the winter, and open up the ends of the rafters front and back. Cover the rafter openings with HC to keep it predator proof.
