Pretty! I don't know much about bantams but what is the age, and is it crowing? I'm only asking cause I'm not really seeing much male feathering, though I'm bad at guess the gender so I could be way off. You can try posting on your state thread also - https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/michigan-thread-all-are-welcome.697050/I am located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Hens can crow but I don't think they do it frequently. There are a few saddle feathers that might be a little pointy. It probably is a rooster. He's really cute, I'm sorry that I'm not closer and I already have a rooster and don't need another. I hope you find him a good home!He is a couple months old and crows quite a bit. I have heard that hens can do this, though I just assumed with the frequency that he is a rooster.
Thanks! My daughter loves him, but all the crowing is disturbing the neighbors. I have been keeping him inside until as late as I can, but he crows throughout the day.Hens can crow but I don't think they do it frequently. Mine crows off and on all day, some days worse than others. There's no good solution to that really. He annoys me sometimes but I don't trust the no crow collars and having him in the garage all the time defeats the purpose of having him (keeping the hens in line and future generations). I have neighbors but they're not too close and have said he's not a bother. My other neighbor across the road used to have chickens and said they like hearing him from a distance. It's pretty rural here so I'm very blessed in that regard. Thanks! My daughter loves him, but all the crowing is disturbing the neighbors.
