Looks like I’m not the only one who ordered girls and received at least one boy! I have a sweet, handsome Easter Egger rooster that hatched in mid-April 2022. We aren’t allowed to have roosters where we live in unincorporated Chicago southern suburbs. And although he’s such a good boy, he crows so much. My neighbors have been great but I don’t want to push my luck. I’d like to find him a flock where he’d be the only rooster and allowed to free range when possible or at least have a large protected run. I will also include his favorite lady, same age, also an Easter Egger. I think she’s laying now (I have several new Easter Eggers and I’m trying to determine who is laying.) If she’s not laying now, she will be very soon. They stick together most places, so I’d hate to separate them.

I’ve tried the no-crow collar offered by MyPetChicken. If anyone has a suggestion for making that option work, I’m open. I’d love to keep my boy if I can lessen the crowing.

I’m located in Mokena, IL (southwest Chicago burbs.) if you’re in the area and are interested in taking my boy, please text me at Seven Zero Eight Seven Seventy Sixteen Eighteen.
