Hi. I lost my house in a fire and am looking for a place to rehome my flock of 4. I have 2 chickens and 2 ducks (one duck, one drake). they are a mated pair, endlessly entertaining. PLEASE don't immediately disregard the ducks. they come with a water tank they can swim a little in (which means they don't make a mess of the water bucket). they were raised with, and love the chickens and sleep in the coop / chicken yard with them. They are more winter hardy than chickens, and eat the same food. They have to be moved by 10/15. I really care about them and want them re-homed to a good place that has some free-ranging in the yard or whatever. I looked months ago when I lost my home but never found anyone. I would love to take them back if my next home can accept my flock. that is my hope, but unclear at this time.

Oh @BettyNicol , I am so sad for you losing your home and your flock. I do hope you find some one locally who can care for them for you. There are local groups and local social media that might be good places to try if BYC doesn't come up with anything. I would try my local Buy Nothing Sell Nothing group through Facebook, or advertise on NextDoor as they are both local. Good luck.

Im in NE Florida and about to be in Northern Virginia for 2 months, way too far away to be personally helpful
